I added this little script to my website footer so now the date will never need to be updated again. Yay!

I updated a few dead links in this list. This list of websites are in the Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario region. Although, some of these are national.

I have not listed company-specific career sections on their corporate websites.

Please let me know if there are any sites that you think should be added to the list.

Seasons change - Flickr account

It's fall. Yeah, it's that time of year... when the season changes, daylight saving time ends, and I often reflect on my life.

I see it's been a while since I blogged. Life's busy and I'm sure we can all make excuses. I want to make better use of my blog and I think what was troubling me, was the scope of it. I had a narrow topic, and I think if I change that, I can see where this goes.

This photo was taken at the Parry Sound Marina. This bridge was built by the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) in 1908. This trestle spans 1695 feet long and is 105 feet in height. It is one of the oldest and longest trestles in Canada. We were down at the marina, checking things out when this train came by. It was great to capture it.

my first PHP website

For the past four weeks, I've been learning PHP. This week, I've been working on designing a website that pulls its content from a database and builds the page. At this time, I have a catalogue of my photocards built and I have plans on expanding it into a full site. Should be fun!

Each person in my class is working on something unique. We are presenting our designs to the class on Thursday. I can't wait to see what everyone has been up to!

Learning database design

We've been taking database design for the past six weeks and I've found it very interesting. Who knew that Notepad++ can be used for creating databases, creating tables, filling with content, and running queries?? Very cool!
